FEES
Our fees are based on the number of words, subject matter, format submitted and format requested, the required time frame and some other factors. Please feel free to contact us any time for a quick, no obligation estimate at mail (at) schtr.com, and we will get back to you promptly. Please include the desired format (e.g. plain text, formatted Word document, Excel worksheet, PowerPoint presentation) and the proposed deadline.
If you send us the entire document(s) and a description of the work involved we will be able to give you the exact quote.
We accept bank checks (U.S. only), bank transfers or credit card payments via PayPal.
WHY US
Value and Quality The language of medicine, law and technology is constantly evolving. We do not believe in simply reusing terms and phrases from previous projects or mechanically applying glossary entries from outside generic databases. The time frame we suggest for completion of your project always reflects both the research and our quality control.
Each of our projects is translated and then independently proofed and edited in order to ensure the correct terminology, grammar and overall language style.
We live and work in the United States, and understand English idioms and cultural references. Even "corporate" English is highly idiomatic and cannot be translated with dictionaries. Meaningful translation of the content requires practical knowledge of the real-world English, whether it is a "source" or "target" language.
Specialization Our main areas of specialization are outlined on this website. We do not claim to do anything in any language, and this is why it is so important for us to review your project before we accept it.
Price as quoted As soon as we review the entire project, we will quote you the cost. No additional fees will be charged unless there are changes or additions requested after the quote. We offer discounted rates for continuing and partially repetitive text. For this type of tasks we can use computer-assisted translation applications, so-called CAT tools, which might result in the substantial savings for translations with the repetitive content. (CAT tools are NOT machine translation.)
Confidentiality We do not subcontract or outsource our work to any other person, so you will know exactly where your document is translated and by whom.
Due to the nature of our projects, we do not disclose names of our clients, names of products or any specific information pertaining to our work, not even as a reference. We are bound both by NDAs and by our own confidentiality policies. We do not use any Internet-based machine translation engines, shared translation databases or cloud data storage systems. Your documents and your contact data are safe with us.
